Learn Simple and Effective Tips to Resume Writing

Resumes are the reflection of your past that encompassed the personal, educational, and professional background. Talking in general terms, all resumes have employment dates, job responsibilities, job position titles, personal background, and list of educational qualifications, then why only a few are selected and called out for an interview? The answer itself lies in the resume.
If the resume is well-written, organized, structured and free from errors with all the relevant information, then it immediately draws the employer's attention or else it directly goes in the bin. A good and effective resume is the one that beholds the words employers want to read and speak the language they want to hear. Such a resume helps you sell your credentials and talents in the job market and also increased your credibility.
Here are some of the basic tips and advices for effective resume writing:
1. The headlines or title of your resume should be in accordance to the type of job you are looking for. It should be clear with a specific objective and purpose of your chosen job.
2. The design and structure of your resume should be such that it should attract the attention of the prospective employer in few seconds. Employers don't spend more than 30 seconds on one resume and so all your relevant qualifications, past job responsibilities, and capabilities should be highlighted.
3. Through the content of your resume you have to sell yourself in the job market. Imagine you are sales professional and think of ways you'll adopt to sell a product. Accept the same formula for selling your talents and skills in the market with simple language and your life's history fused together in an effective resume.
4. Try and quantify your achievements and accomplishments. This leaves a great impression on the employer. If you have worked for about 7 to 10 years in an organization performing similar kind of profile you have opted for, then mention in numbers. If there are numbers of certificates and awards you have received in due course of your past work period.
5. Furthermore, in a specific manner describe all your job responsibilities that you feel will help you get a new job in a descriptive manner.
6. Use rich keywords and job-oriented verbs. Keywords are mere simple words that are either defined in terms of significant qualification, quantified accomplishments, or personal strengths. These keywords make your resume more powerful.
7. Make your resume competitive. Ensure that you mention all the special talents within you and some of your powered personal traits that will make you stand out in a crowd. There should be something extra-ordinary in you to draw the employers towards you.
8. At the end before submitting the resume, re-check it twice or thrice to ensure there are no spelling mistakes or grammatical errors.

Basic Elements of Resume Writing

Writing a resume seems to be a tough and challenging task. In a few pages it's not possible to pen down your entire life but yet you have to smartly put your life down on papers in a brief yet explanative way to create an effective resume. This short document is significant as it is one key that will open many doors for you to an exciting career.
Every one of you wishes to own the master key to your career. The only way is to write an effective resume that will draw the attention of an employer in no time. Here are some of the basic elements of resume writing that will help you accomplish the basic objective or purpose of a resume:
Clarity
Clarity is the first element influencing resume writing. It is very important to mention your personal, professional, and educational summary in clear words that is easy for all to understand. Don't try to use heavy and misleading words that the employers have to guess. Be as simple as you can and straightforward as well in your language as well as in your approach.
Clarity also includes a clear structure and simple design of a resume. Don't try to make your resume decorative with flowery outlines, artistic fonts, and designer border. Keep it simple and plain in all its form.
Content
Content is the second most significant element that caters to the style and format of content you use in your resume. It defines the way you combine your skills, how you highlight your capabilities, and how well you formulate the content.
Ensure that you mention your past work experience in a chronological order with a clear description of your job responsibilities listed in bullet points. Also make sure that the content is completely free from errors including spelling mistakes, grammatical errors, and typographical errors. It should be well-written and well-structured with all the relevant information.
Character
Character includes a short description of your overall personality. Before hiring a person, employers always tries to know what kind of person you are. In a sub-category of your resume or in a highlighted mode, mention your key strengths and some significant aspects of your inner personality. Clearly mention whether you are optimistic, determined, proactive, reliable, dependable, and results-oriented. These qualities make a good impression and you are likely to be considered for an interview.
Competency
Competency is very important in the competitive job market. It is very important to showcase the employer how competent and capable you are among the entire bunch of candidates who have sent across their resumes. In words you have to highlight all your accomplishments. Ensure that the entire list of job related responsibilities and educational qualifications are highlighted. Make your credentials and achievements are clearly visualized by the prospective employer in just one glance.
Cohesion
Cohesion or consistency is equally important while creating a resume. All the information should be pulled together on a piece of paper in one consistent form. Use one common font that is easy to read and understand with bold headlines in the same font. Don't mingle up the words to scatter the summary in an unorganized way.
Create a structure or an outline and then fill in the categories and sub-categories. If using bullet points to list your qualifications, don't use numbering to list your skills and talents. Whatever format, whatever structure you decide to use, make sure that it is consistent throughout without any pitfalls in between.

Learn to Play an Instrument

Question: Why learn to play an instrument?
Answer: The experience will make you a healthier, happier, and stronger person!
The choice was easily made by many musicians! They heard it calling them through the music that they listened to, saw themselves performing, then became educated about it. These results have ranged from fantastic, to noises that most people would consider to be intolerable. Others were forced into it during childhood, then learned to love, hate, or disregard it completely.
Unfortunately, there have been many who are unwilling to try, due to lack of confidence, previous experiences, responsibilities, or commitments. Several justifiable or lame excuses may have taken them away from treasuring the true, joyful, experiences that music can bring into their lives. Pretending to be a musician on various games, has become an unhealthy substitute, to many people. Learning to play an instrument has become an obstacle, rather than a release, for so many.
If you choose to learn to play an instrument (which I hope you do!), please allow me to forward some advice:
1. Learn to identify instruments while listening to music that you appreciate. This will give you an inclination of which instrument you should choose to play.
2. Take lessons. Make becoming a musician easier, by learning from those who can be trusted and know how to teach. There are many, great online lesson downloads to be taken. You will have the advantage of taking them as often as you wish, whenever you choose.
3. Do not give up, but don't rush!! Be courageous during the learning curve, and remember that you are capable of anything, if you try with enough effort.
You deserve to learn to play an instrument, regardless of who you are, and where you are!

Teaching Children to Make Good Choices

When it comes to childhood obesity, I'm not on the "blame-game-train." Looking for someone to blame is a cop-out. Instead, I vote we take responsibility and fix the problem. How? That's the problem and it's where we all come in, as parents, as educators and as a society.
The job of a parent is to nurture, raise, teach and guide our children. No one should take that away from us, but it is a hefty responsibility. While the schools and others in the community play a role, we as parents are the ones ultimately responsible for teaching our children to make the right choices. It's not going to be easy, but here are a few steps that may help.
Set Limits: While they complain about them, most children want limits they can depend on. This applies to many aspects of their lives. Limits should be set on the length of time the computer is used, the PlayStations (etc.) are used and even how much they can use their cell phones to text their friends.
Instead of these "mouse potato" activities, they need to play. Maybe the can join a team or be on the pep squad/cheer leading team. Maybe there are a bunch of kids in the neighborhood that can get together for a game of basketball or baseball at the park. Look into ways to get them physically active.
Food: Did you know that fast food companies like to put their facilities near schools? They know they'll make a lot of money from the kids. We, as parents, shouldn't blame these companies. What we should do is educate the kids to make good choices with their food.
There are a lot of ways of doing this. If there are fast food places near the school, help the child choose healthy things off the menu. You can find the nutrition information on-line very easily, and these companies are beginning to hear our cries for better, healthier food.
Packing a lunch may not be a bad idea either. Take the kids to the store and let them pick out the healthy options they want. There are a lot of single serving salad, fruit and vegetable items in the produce aisle which can replace chips and cookies. Low fat/low sodium deli meats are also often available at the deli of the local supermarket.
Lead by Example: You knew there had to be a catch, right? Yep, it's us. Our children will do about 80% of what we do right and usually 100% of what we do wrong. Want them to exercise...go play with them, go for a walk, go jogging. It will let them know that this is a lifetime thing, not just what kids have to do.
Do the same thing with food. Eat healthier stuff and be willing to pack a sack lunch. To be honest, you can make a really tasty lunch with good nutrition for a lot less than some of those "value meals" at the fast food places.
Talk to the Schools: There is a debate about whether or not the schools should be blamed for childhood obesity. As I've said before, that doesn't wash with me. However, they do have some responsibility. Perhaps they need reminded. Don't just read the lunch menu in the paper, go and eat one of them. Preferably on pizza day. If you don't want your child eating what's being served do something about it.
There are a lot of reasons schools choose the foods they do, and while I don't agree with their logic I can see the point. When healthy foods are provided, those foods end up in the trash. The kids won't eat the apple or green beans or the salad. Rather than watch hard earned tax dollars head out to the garbage dump, they provide what the kids want.

Five Secrets to Creating Your Dream Career

There are countless career opportunities in this economy for you to create your dream job. Why be unhappy with your career when you can create the perfect job that leads to a happy fulfilling career using a little creativity?
The following are seven secrets to creating your dream job and very successful career:

1. What Do You Want to Achieve in Your Career?
This may seem like a fairly obvious question; however, when I interact with employees who are unhappy with their careers I ask them, "what do you want to achieve in your career?" At that point most employees can't answer the question or I may receive an answer of, "I Know What I Don't Want." I have found out that the lack of career goals is one of the leading factors of job dissatisfaction, conflict, and stress in the workplace.
The foundation of a successful career is knowing what you want from your career. Take the time to develop career goals. Once you have done this, break your goals into manageable pieces and time periods so that you can continuously track how successful you are in achieving your goals.

2. What Are Your Job Requirements
Now that you have developed your career goals, recognize your requirements for success. Some career questions you can ask yourself are:
* What additional education needs will I have?
* Are my career requirements in harmony with my family goals, etc.?
* Do I want to work at home or in the office?
* Do I want the added responsibility of being a leader or would I be happier as a team member (be honest with yourself).
3. Look for Your Perfect Job
Ideas for your dream job are all around you every day. Look for career ideas from the following resources:
* Look for trends for career opportunities in newspapers, magazines, or TV or radio, and the Internet. Act as an "opportunity filter" and look for the career opportunities where others only see the negative.
* Think like your internal and external customers and find out what their biggest challenges are and how you can provide solutions.
* Think like management, and constantly seek to discover the challenges they face and develop solutions. The biggest gold mines for finding organizational solutions are the meetings you attend. Listen for the little gold nuggets of opportunities that will help you develop you dream job.

4. Sell the Solution
Once you have completed the research and preparation, it's time to sell management on your solution and your dream job. Remember to tune into management's W-I-I-F-M, What's In It for Management, when communicating your solution. Stress the benefits of your proposal and why they should adopt it. Stress how you would deliver the solution in your new position. Make sure to discuss your career requirements (resources, telework vs. office, education, etc.) for success in detail and how they relate to the solution. Close with conviction by asking for management's input on your presentation and address any concerns at that time.
5. If You Don't Succeed at First...
If you don't succeed at first, stay positive and continue to fine tune your proposal Remember, there will always be changes in management, the economy, situations, personnel, and organizational opportunities. Constantly be aware of them so that you can rise to the occasion when the career opportunity presents itself again.
Apply these five career secrets to achieve more career success in your life. Act today to start developing the foundation for your dream job tomorrow.

Making Your Money Work For You

There is a common misconception about money. Thanks to our consumer-driven society, the belief is that the purpose money is to spend it. This could not be further from the truth. The purpose of money is for building wealth. You must reprogram the way your brain thinks about money and approach your finances with a fresh perspective and plan of action.
Whether you are making $50K or $8.00 an hour, you can learn to make your money work for you. The key is in handling your money the way the rich do. Most people don't understand what this looks like, so allow me to give you a blueprint for using your money to build wealth.
The key is in designating certain parts of your income to specific areas of your life.
The first category is tithing. Tithing is defined as giving back financially to the work that God is doing through the church. If you are not religious, then substitute giving to a specific charity that you believe in. It is always good to give. What good is the wealth that we build if we are unable to help those less fortunate? 10% of your income should go to tithing. By establishing giving as the very first thing you do with your income, it helps to keep you from falling prey to greed.
The next category is savings. Once you have paid God, pay yourself. 10% of EVERYTHING YOU MAKE should go immediately into a savings account. This is the money that you should try not to dip into, whenever possible. It is certainly acceptable to borrow from your savings for important, well thought out purchases, (IE, a down payment on a new home, a big family vacation, etc) but avoid using this money for every day and/or frivolous spending.
The next category is self-education. In the business of network marketing, the most valuable asset that you have is YOU. Set aside 10% of your income each month to invest back into you education about the business. Use this money to purchase books, audio trainings and coaching on things like money handling, marketing techniques, and self-improvement. The more knowledge you acquire, the more value you present to your prospects. Remember; people don't join businesses, they join people.
The next 10% of your income is designated for investing in Income Producing Assets. Some great ideas of ways to invest your money in assets that will earn money for you include but are not limited to buying and renting out an apartment building, purchasing a laundromat or a parking lot. With any of these things, you will quickly make back your initial investment and it will soon turn into an extra stream of income that works for you. Once your budget allows for it, outsource the management of these assets to qualified people and you have created a stream of income that works for you without your ever having to touch it. Do some research and find out what works for your budget and what opportunities are open to you. Then put the plan in motion to get these income producers on their feet ASAP.
The next category is my favorite; Entertainment. We all need to be entertained, we simply need to learn how to be smart about the way we budget for it. You guessed it, 10% of your income is set aside for the soul purpose of entertaining yourself. Use this money for whatever brings you enjoyment. If it's shopping, shop. If it's dining out, eat. If it's attending sporting events, theatre, or just going out to the clubs and shaking your groove thang, do it. The only rule about this category is you must spend every dime of it each month! This category is a great motivator to make more money. If you make more money overall, you have more money to blow on things that you enjoy.
Once you have budgeted accordingly in all of the previous categories, you are left with 50% of your income. This is what you use to pay your bills, make payments on your existing debt, buy your groceries and all of those day-to-day expenditures you encounter. Learning to live off of 50% of your income may mean needing to make some sacrifices. Do you really need all 900 channels? Do you need to buy the brand-name paper towels? Get really honest with yourself about what it is that you are spending money on now that you do not absolutely need and get rid of it.
It may be difficult at first to implement these principles, especially when it comes to making those sacrifices up front. Remember though, that the number one purpose of money is not to spend it, but to create wealth. Start putting these principles into practice now. Make sacrifices today for a better tomorrow. Remember, it's not about how much money you make, it's about knowing what to do with it.

Free Online Games Can Provide Great Family Entertainment

Adults and children can enjoy free online games that provide an excellent distraction from the problems of everyday life. The games are fun and many are very educational and mentally stimulating. You can choose from hundreds of games, all for free.
Mental exercise is especially good for adults. During the aging process, the brain's capacity diminishes but, when stimulated on a regular basis, it can stay alert and active. For kids, playing online games is a fantastic way for them to learn new skills and have fun.
Selecting a suitable game is very important if you want your kids to get constructive mental stimulation. Scrabble, for example, helps develop vocabulary, and Tetris is excellent for the development of spatial skills. The games can be played as one-player or on a multi-player basis.
Playing online games is a wonderful way for families to bond and interact in an atmosphere of fun. Everyone can laugh, relax and put aside all other day-to-day problems for one or two hours. It's also a great way to get the kids away from the TV for a while.
There are plenty of free games to cater for all interests. These include sports games, arcade games, card and word games, and puzzles. They can be played for absolutely no cost. While certain sites may try and lure you with offers to buy a fancier version of a certain game, you are under no obligation and can continue playing for free.
Some free game sites might ask for your email address so that you can register. This is fine, but be cautious if any site asks you for financial or personal details. Many sites offer free trials then give the option to upgrade to fee-based playing. If you want to avoid this temptation and play for free all the time, find another site.
If you prefer your kids to play games with educational value, the internet has plenty of sites for this particular purpose. They offer a wide range of word jumbles, board games, Science and Math quizzes and lots of other interactive options. You can choose the level of each game according to your child's age.

The Girl of Your Dreams vs The Girl That is Available

Having listened to men over the years sharing their greatest ordeals as regarding dating and relationship, I can as of today authoritatively tell you that the biggest challenge men face is the challenge of approaching the woman they are attracted to and confidently expressing themselves like a real man should. Some that were able to summon the courage to step up to lady of their dreams did not know how to take things from one step to another, so they get stuck feeling embarrassed.
Most married men that come to me for counseling seem to have similar problems. What is the problem, I know you are yearning to known; that is what am about to share with you. A very large chunk of the marriage men you see around are not fulfilled in their matrimonial homes anymore. Outwardly they may pretend to be happy but deep inside they feel imprisoned by their own cowardice.
You see, my friend, the trouble started while these men were still single but they were either too scared or lacked the crucial dating skills they required to go for the woman they truly desired to be with. I will give you a true life story to illustrate my point but before I do that I would want to advise you to take your time to read this article to the end, you would be glad you did.
Now, here is my story, I hope you will learn one or two things from it. This was an account of a client of mine who latter become a very close friend. For the sake of this article let's call him jack. Jack came to me for counseling after his marriage of two years fell apart. After listening to his story for about ninety minutes I could tell exactly where Jack missed his opportunity for true fulfillment and happiness in marriage.
Jack used to work at a cinema, there he had the opportunity of meeting all sort of people. One among these people was a lady Jack knew from high school. Her name is Jessica (not her real name), Jack have always liked Jessica. She was exactly the type of lady Jack wanted; she was just the right package, the right drug that Jack needed to cure his madness.
While they were in high school, he always sorts for the perfect opportunity to ask Jessie out, but he was always intimidated by her social and academic status. Jessica was the most popular female student in the school. She was obviously the most beautiful and plus that, her grades were the best in her class.
So Jack was scared that he might be rejected if he asked her out, but Jessica was the girl of his dreams. So, Jack did everything in his power to impress this girl. He started studying extra hours to raise his grads, he thought if he could at least get his academics right, that maybe she would be impressed and that might make her pay him more attention.
He also tried to get popular, so he became a basket ball player, but none of this change anything. He did all these nice stuffs but failed to do one thing that is most important than the other things he did; approaching Jessica and letting her know how he felt about her.
They graduated from high school and faced their different destinies. Jack parents were broke so they could not afford a university education for him but Jessica's dad was a doctor and was rich. So, Jessica went to Georgia Tech, graduated and got a good paying blue collar job, while Jack was just a regular guy who worked in a cinema house.
So here they were again, four years later after high school. Jack could not believe his eyes the first time he saw Jessie at the cinema where he worked, it felt like an angel just fell from heaven. Jessica looked even more beautiful than she looked way back in high school but that was not even the problem. The trouble here again was that Jessica earned five times what Jack took home at the end of the month.
Those same old feelings of intimidation came back but this time with a greater intensity. Jack wanted to ask Jessica out one more time but once again he feared he would be rejected. He had that feeling you get when it seems like something you want is out of your reach.
Jessica kept coming back to that same cinema for the next three months and for that whole time Jack could not do anything about what he felt for this girl; he didn't know how to go about asking Jessica out and not being rejected. After three months of coming to the cinema where jack worked, Jessica suddenly stopped coming and later moved out of town. Nine months after Jessica moved out of town, Jack got married to a colleague who worked at the same cinema with him.
Two years after they got married, things fell apart. That was when he came to my office for counseling. It is so painful and shameful that most men feel powerless when it comes to approaching the woman they truly desire and need. This is why good girls don't have any choice but to end up in the arms of men that don't treat them right. This type of things happens because the good guys don't have the boldness to go for the women of their dreams.
Most men simply end up dating and marrying the woman that is available. That was what Jack did and that is the same mistake most guys who had gone through a divorce also have made. Marrying the girl that is available instead of the woman of your dreams, is one reason why some men cannot be faithful to their partners. This is also why the feeling of affection they felt at the onset of their relationship fizzle out with time. My advice to you today is this; don't go for the girl that is available but for the one that your heart truly wants to be with(the girl of your dreams).
She might be very rich, she might work in the government, she might have a doctorate degree, she might be a top Hollywood actress, she might be a super model, no matter what she is, never let have status, beauty or money scare or intimidate you in any way. My friend get educated on how attraction and seduction works with women, with proper and quality training on these topics(attraction and seduction), getting the girl of your dreams to fall in love with you would be a piece of cake. By the way I am Lemar Bloom and I appreciate you taking your valuable time to listen to what I had to say. God bless you and please stay out of trouble.

Wouldn't it Be Easier to Lead the Horse Back Up the Mountain?

When marketing online, some people just work really hard trying to promote their business or product, and wonder why, after months or years go by, they have not amassed a fortune as they thought they should have. I recently went to a equine exposition, sat in on a horse rescue discussion and listened to a first responder speak of one of her rescues that may fit what most marketers should not do.
She began by telling of a mishap a rider had, stumbling over the edge of a ravine, to the bottom of a small, but rather steep climb. Luckily the horse and rider made it to the bottom unscathed, and 911 was notified and several fire and rescue trucks, law enforcement, horse rescue and several spectator arrived to watch the horse be brought back up the ravine.
For hours, their was discussion after discussion, idea after idea passed around the group of first responders, trying to develop the best way to retrieve the stricken animal from its predicament. Many professionally trained career rescue personnel shared their best plan A, then Plan B. Additional crane trucks were summoned to the scene, and more men. An elaborate plan was underway several hours after the fall to bring the horse back to the top of the ravine. As they prepared their equipment and everyone took their positions, a little girl approached the lead responder and asked if she may help. The chief looked down at her, much to busy at this point to bother with an eight year old, but did not wish to upset her, so he asked, " Sweetheart, we have all these trained, experienced fireman, crane operators, medics, and horse rescue people. How could you possibly help?"
"Sir, wouldn't be easier just to lead the horse back up the access road to the top of the mountain?" She replied
Sometimes the obvious route to the top of any online business endeavor, eludes even the most savvy and professional of marketer or business leader. When blasting your business out to the world, and shouting, Hey I have the best product, check it out, make a fortune, retire in 10 years, all you need is to fill a bazillion spots in a matrix, and your rich simply by spending a small investment of $5 dollars to get started, really does not work to build a business, anywhere.
To become successful, you have to build a presence, branding yourself to attract people to look at what you are involved in, and promoting. With all of the competition everywhere on and off the internet, and all of the opportunities available to participate in, you have to STAND OUT! You have to focus on the obvious solutions and learning the systems to propel your personal success, so that you may lead those that follow, who are less experienced and do not see the same paths to success. You have to map out the simplest paths to accomplish the goal of financial prosperity for yourself, and help others that wish to succeed as well. You have to find a successful education and marketing platform that will provide you the skill set to become a successful entrepreneur in the shortest and most efficient time frame as possible with the least amount of pittfalls. You have to develop a mindset of success and be able to commit to your plan of action with the least amount of resistance and with the greatest ease possible.
Do not mistake this, there will be obstacles along the way, but why not find the least path of resistance to begin. The little girl made an observation in that equine rescue, that eluded all of the first responders but had they actually taken the time to observe, to analyze, to investigate, they would have seen the obvious solution that was the easiest to achieve the successful rescue of the horse, and implement it with little resistance and a minimal of obstacles along the way.
You have to do the same when investigating any business opportunity or system that you may become involved with to create the easiest path to the top of the mountain.

Work From Home and Make Money Online With Your Own Website

A popular way to beat the current economic downturn these days is to work from home and make money with your own website. It doesn't matter if you're unemployed, or perhaps need to supplement your current income. All you need is an internet connection, some creativity, and with a little hard work, making money online is just 1 click of the mouse away.
It's simple to think of a traditional "brick and mortar" business but that often takes a lot of time send effort to control it. When you work from home, you are the boss and you make money online with your own website that you control. This can be done in the time frame that you decide upon. That in turn gives you time to spend with the family and doing the other important things you want to do in your life. Setting up the work day is easy, and with a few clicks of the mouse, and the right direction, will have you making money online with your own website.
The way to work from home and make money online with your own website can be quite intimidating. Remember we want to create our own website, not a affiliate or joint venture. We need to be in complete control. Here we can list or publish the product or service we are going to offer. This will take a little work, but it is not rocket science.
When you work from home with your own website, constructing the site can go a few different ways. Some products or services offer site construction and all you have to do is pick the one you think will convert the best. When we talk of converting, we mean customers clicking on you website and deciding to make a purchase or to opt-in. Others, do most of the work and all you do is add things like a video of yourself explaining what your site is all about and what your trying to do. Other online marketers choose to brand themselves and construct a landing page from scratch. That's what we will touch on here, for the beginner.
To start your site construction, use the following tips:
-Brainstorming. This is a must do thing that we all know how to do. The entire look and feel of your site will come from the list that you create when you brainstorm. This could even determine what you plan to market.
-Discover what your target market will be. After you go over all of the conceptual aspects of your site construction, find your target market. Ask yourself the questions. What am I looking for? What problem am I trying to solve? What pain or burden am I trying to alleviate? Or even, go see whets hot on ClickBank or Amazon. Go from there.
-Figure out how much time and money you have to spend on marketing your business. These figures all affect the profit margin so it is important to have this figure at hand. The more money you want to make online by working from home, the more time, effort, and money will have to be invested.
-Make up your own website name. The main thing to remember here is to use a name that will attract your customers attention. They are more likely to check you out if you do this right.
-Hire a professional. If you don't want to know stuff like HTML and basic web mastery, look for a professional. There are many listed in the phone book, and that's where I would go because than you can sit down with someone and go over all the details. If you use someone online, you submit and wait. And the process repeats over and over.
-DIY. There are great sites that are free to download. I suggest KompoZer to get the job done. Play around and get it right here, and your in the game.
-Upload the website you just created. [or had done for you] If your going DIY, You will nee a FTP, or file transfer protocol, try FileZilla. It to is a free download. If you can follow directions, you can do this. There is plenty of help available from the web hosting companies. I use GoDaddy, and when I ever had trouble, I'd call them on the telephone and they would walk me right through it with ease.
-When you work from home and make money online from your own website you need a way to accept payment. Depending on the sale's maximum amount, you may need a merchant account like First Data or something along those means. Keep in mind, merchant accounts cost you monthly. You might also want to look at third party processing like PayPal.
-ADVERTISE ADVERTISE ADVERTISE... After you get it all tuned in, market your website. Be smart at this and don't jump at every advertising opportunity that comes your way. Use your budget wisely. Learn to "go fishing." Use a form of tracking so you can tell what is working now. ClickAudit is an example of an ad tracker.
One thing to remember is that you are only as good at marketing as the education that you have on the subject. There are allot of training platforms and eBooks and webinars out there for you to take advantage of. If you don't have much money to spend when you first get started, I would spend most of it on training and education first, and take advantage of all the no cost advertising that you can. Keep in mind, there is no get rich quick online like some would have you believe. It takes mindset, determination, and knowledge to be successful when you work from home and make money online with your own website.

The Hypocrisy of Democracy

In what is widely being regarded as a landmark decision in India, the Supreme Court declared live-in relationships and premarital sex between consenting adults as fully within the law and legal. This comes after the actress Khushboo's controversial statement where she said that, "No educated man would expect his [bride] to be a virgin."
"Please tell us what is the offence and under which section should she be charged? Tell me how many people have been affected by Kushboo's statement?" asked Chief Justice K. G. Balakrishnan. In a single unresearched statement the actress has questioned the morality of women of India, that's what's wrong Mr. Chief Justice. And this coming from the very people who have the unwritten job of upholding India's identity.
Former Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court and BJP MP Rama Jois today said Indian scriptures bar premarital sex and Indian society still consider pre-marital sexual relationship not good. Quoting from scriptures, he said one of the nine directives of dhrama prescribed by Mahabharata was "Prajanseveshu dareshu" one should procure children only under wedlock which by necessary implication bars pre-marital sexual activity between man and woman, he said. In a predominantly religious state like India, where does the Supreme Court's decision stand? Isn't it just loosely based upon miming the West? Let me not even go into the health issues such practices can create. In a country where HIV has affected more people than in any other country, this new decision doesn't help the cause. An estimated 19 million people a year in the U.S. become infected with some form of STD. Are we ready to face this in India? Will we handle it better than the US?
In a country where we harp about our cultures and traditions, this decision is a rude awakening call. With India opening to the West both technologically and culturally, it shouldn't come as a surprise if the Supreme Court decides that we (the youth) should be mentally open to such "radical" ideas. Bravo to the judiciary system of India for trampling over what few moral values we have left in this "progressing" country of ours. Forget the need to educate the masses, to alleviate the poverty-stricken, to stand for what India truly represents; our honorable Supreme Court doesn't mind corrupting the young minds of the nation towards the ideologies of the so called "advanced" West. Let us remember that it is the same country which had introduced the ban on bar dancers in Mumbai not long ago. Call me orthodox or conservative, but to me the need to accept the Western ideas while retaining our Indian identity is of primary importance. Now cynics may say that when we have accepted Western music, food, fashion, why do we a draw a line when it comes to this issue? The simple reason is that while our varied culture has allowed integration of a lot of Western practices, there are still some that are simply incompatible with it. Why don't we go ahead and allow strip clubs to run here in India? It's a western idea isn't it? How about gay bars? The recently legalized gay community in India may soon make a demand for them under the right to freedom of assembly. Will the Supreme Court deny them that on moral grounds then? Why then do we cringe about these ideas when we're open to all other western practices? Aren't we being hypocritical?
"Marriage is an outdated institution with no security. A true relationship is devoid of social and personal pressures. It has less emotional breakdowns, but it comes with responsibilities," says filmmaker Vikram Bhatt, who was in a live-in relationship with actress Ameesha Patel. A quick look at the readily available statistics reveal that 46% of all marriages in the US, the biggest proponent of live-in relationships and premarital sex, end in divorces. Where then does it leave Mr. Bhatts statement?
"Who is anybody to judge if two people want to stay together?" asks Pooja Bedi, but goes on to add, "A live-in requires serious commitment. And now with the Supreme Court backing it, it is no longer frivolous". By saying this does she mean that unless someone declares a practice frivolous, we are to continue doing it without restrictions?
On a different note, lets take a look at democracy in Europe. We must have all read about the French president Sarkozy's promise to ban the veil in France. "The full veil is contrary to the dignity of women," he says. He has blissfully ignored the sentiments of the women, both religious and moral. Ask a woman why she wears a veil and she'll tell you that it is to protect her dignity. The law does more harm than good. It instills the feeling of victimization among the Muslim fraternity. Mr.Sarkozy's statement is a paradox then, isn't it? Are we to accept France as a democracy then? A democracy which doesn't allow its people to wear what they want freely without questioning them? How would the Indian public feel if the government banned bikinis in India? Isn't a bikini "contrary to the dignity of women"?
Switzerland has recently banned the construction of Minarets stating that "Swiss residents should be able to block unwanted and unusual projects such as the erection of Islamic minarets". Another puzzling decision taken in a democracy. Why shouldn't a people be allowed to construct symbols of their faith? Does the construction of minarets harm anybody? Why then discriminate and victimize your citizens who are after all only demanding freedom of expression of their faith?
This is the hypocrisy of Democracy.
It's about time we stop blowing the trumpet of Freedom and Democracy, because not only do we seem to be ill equipped to uphold the true spirit of Democracy, we are also engaged, knowingly or unknowingly, in advocating and encouraging an intolerant society which has tuned its back on its cultural and moral roots.
